ABOUT WE THE WOMEN
What is Our Story?
We The Women began as a registered 501(c)3 non-profit, all-female theatre company founded by Samantha Ressler and Nathalie Love in 2017. We created live pop-up theatrical experiences led by all female teams in Los Angeles and New York, while partnering with local organizations to support women’s issues (Planned Parenthood, Meet Bridget, the Assistance League of Los Angeles). To date, we have employed 300+ women, produced 18 performances, raised over $30,000 for 34 different charitable organizations, built 5 theatrical partnerships, & 11 brand partnerships.
What is Our Vision?
We recognize the divide in the traditional theatre space and work to eliminate that gap by bridging theatre with digital entertainment (television, film, podcasts, etc). As lifetime theatre fanatics and artists, the team behind We The Women believe that all art forms should be accessible and affordable to the public. There is an incredible untapped wealth of talent and creativity in the theatre space — by fostering relationships with the rising stars of the American Theater, We The Women helps artists to bring their work to the stage and screen.
Statement of Equity & Inclusion
Women are critically underrepresented and undervalued in entertainment. Even among working female talent, there is still a massive divide in pay, race, age, sexuality, etc. Our goal is to include women in every level of production, whether it be on screen or off, and support them in bringing their creative visions to life. We aim to foster a collaborative environment where every artist has an equal seat at the table without compromising themselves or their creative property.
